A purist’s delight, this single origin extra dark chocolate bar is made with single origin cacao from Eco-Kakao in the Costa Esmeraldas region of Ecuador. The beans have Arriba Nacional dominant genetics, which means the flavor is astoundingly smooth and gentle, with flavor notes of hazelnut and warm spices with a light floral finish. The cacao beans we use to craft this bar are of exceptionally high quality, with a perfect, consistent fermentation we've come to depend on over the last couple of years. Additionally, we are actively engaged in supporting farmers in the Eco Kakao network to grow the level of regenerative agriculture practices implemented on the farm level, making this origin the crème de la crème of examples for a thriving local ecology with cacao cultivation & agroforestry at the center of it all.
